OVERVIEW

Lion Group holds an investment in a limestone and industrial minerals asset in Santa Quitéria, Ceará, currently under evaluation for reactivation and commercial development.

The asset covers approximately 530 hectares and has 8.9 million tonnes of reported limestone reserves, with potential applications across agricultural and industrial markets, including steel and cement. The mineral portfolio also includes marble and quartzite.

The investment provides Lion Group with additional exposure to Brazilian industrial minerals while the Group evaluates the appropriate strategy for the asset’s next phase.

Jader Fernandes is Chemical Engineer from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), with a specialization in Oil Well Drilling Fluids and MBAs in Project Management and Tax Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).

After working as a Project Manager and Fluids Engineer on oil and gas platforms, he transitioned into entrepreneurship, leading businesses across the food industry, freight transportation, circular economy and mining sectors. His diverse experience drives innovative ideas and pioneering projects.
